Pair of Early 20th Century Yoruba Carved Panels
A pair of early 20th-century West African carved hardwood panels likely crafted by Yoruba artisans from Nigeria's Ekiti region. These museum-quality pieces depict scenes of ceremonial and daily life with remarkable high-relief detail, originally forming a single palace or ceremonial door. Despite a central split in one panel, both remain in impressive condition, showcasing rich patina and cultural significance.
